Managers meeting

yesterday we had all of our head office team, our manager and team leaders together and we took the, through our business plan, afterwards we had some dinks and some nibbles and my sense is that the afternoon went well. We are taking Vital on a journey, not only are we trying to grow the business but as an organisation we are trying to grow up, by this I mean that we are starting to put in place some of things that people in much larger organisations would take for granted, the sort of things that ensure that we are fair and consistent when dealing with our people, that we have the right support in place for our teams and all of the things that will ensure that out managers are focused on their customers and their staff. We have a long way to go and at the moment are simply taking baby steps but that will change as I now have a team in place that will be able to deliver our plan.

Hi Paolo – I met a few people that I had worked with at SSP recently during my time in London. On more than one occasion, a comment was made about your blogs that I thought you would be interested in hearing. Sometimes constructive criticism may be difficult to hear but feel you should be aware of these comments.
    1) your use of grammar and spelling is very poor and seems to always be completed without a review. 2) appears that you are the busiest and most productive person in the Company and you are the reason for any success and you are doing everything alone and without guidance and support from anyone.
Passing on this feedback for your own consideration and an opportunity to make the necessary changes.

    Regards
    Bob

Thanks for the feedback Bob, it’s always much appreciated. The Blog is written “on the fly” usually on my phone hence the dodgy grammar! I will certainly try and be more careful.
It’s worth noting that my blog is very much about me and it was always intended to be this way. I will certainly work harder not to give the impression that I am a “one man band” but purposely avoid mentioning other people as not everyone wants to be the subject of my blog!

        Hi Paolo

Thought I would read a few of the recent blogs and notice 2 changes:

        1) grammar and spelling has improved dramatically

        2) approach to sharing the credit has been favourably distributed.

        Well done.

        Regards
        Bob
