Cold and wet is not my desired weather combination but currently this is what we have and it’s not ideal encouragement for hungry workers to venture out from their offices.
On the upside, sales of our new hot food range continue to go well and the range as a whole has been well received by our customers. My view on this is that the range plays to our strengths of health and customisation and that our customer base has responded to this. As we continue to develop our range expect us to focus more on our “first principles” and ensure that we retain the essence of what had made Vital such a success. At the moment I am on a bit of a mission to take us back to what we do best by focusing on the core aspects of our range and shifting away from some of the peripheral items on our menu, what is encouraging is that the customers we have spoken to have been very enthusiastic about this approach. In fact, I’m quite obsessive about this approach as it also makes sense operationally.
