Succession planning

We have our monthly succession meeting today which I’m very much looking forward to. One of our biggest achievements in the last year or so has been to set up a structured career path which has been supported by a range of training courses and this has got us to a position where we will need very few external managers next year. We still have a long way to go but we are really starting to get some traction in terms of our people.

Also on my agenda today are some shop visits and one to ones with managers which I’m looking forward to. Other than this my day will be spent looking at the various projects which we have on the go and ensuring that they remain on track.
