Yesterday was a deeply frustrating day on a number of levels with the tube strike and incessant rain hamming sales. Some other issues also crept up which need to be dealt with both immediately and in the medium term. As MD of this business I never expect things to be easy, I focus on ensuring that the business operates effectively and with the minimum of drama but there are certain things that I have no control over with yesterday being a case in point. Still, I’ve always been quite good at sleeping on problems (as opposed to them causing me sleepless nights) and then thinking through the best course of action.
Other then grappling with issues today will actually be quite enjoyable as I have a shop tour with one of our multi unit managers and then this afternoon we have a managers meeting.
Finally, our salad launch went quite well yesterday with some good feedback from customers, let’s see how things go for the rest of the week.
