As I’ve mentioned in previous posts our delivery business is one of our strategic imperatives for 2017, it’s an area where we have lagged behind the opposition for far too long and an area which presents us with real growth opportunities going forward.

The appointment of a business development manager is already having an impact and I’m really pleased that we chose someone who is also an operator as a large part of our Deliveroo growth has come from operational improvements.

We will shortly be moving to a hub shop model (I did a similar thing when I ran Pret’s delivery business) which will concentrate most of our deliveries into five shops which allows us to be far more focused on operational execution.
