One of the areas that we have turned our attention to this year is hot drinks. We are not naturally seen as somewhere to stop off and buy a hot drink, along with this up until recently we have done very little breakfast trade in most of our shops which means that hot drinks remain a tiny part of our mix.
Since I joined the business we have made a few moves to inprove things. We have partnered up with Peros who not only supply our coffee but who help us with training and coffee audits and who also look after our machines. We now have graduated baristas and have recently appointed someone to our training team who oversees all things coffee related.
This is a decent start but over the coming months we plan to do more in terms of getting the message about coffee out there and to really drive those coffee sales.
