I was in a meeting when yesterday’s terror attack in Westminster took place and I knew nothing about it until our HR manager got hold of me to tell me about it and to tell me that we couldn’t get hold of the store manager in our Petty France shop, this store is less than a 5 minute walk from where the incident happened. We did get hold of her and it was with a huge sense of relief that we heard that everyone was ok.
It was a horrible incident and as the day wore on the fact that I regularly walk past the spot where the policeman was killed really hit me.
I work in the centre of London and there is always a nagging worry in the back of my mind about something like this happening and being caught up in it but you have to just get on with it.
My thoughts are with the dead and injured
