I’m setting off at around 6am for my trip to Oxford.
Key learnings from last week are as follows
1. We are a pretty simple business which has become too complex.
2. We (understandably) are a little light when it comes to management information
3. Our people are dedicated and have responded well to some leadership
4. We have some stores that we need to treat as exceptions
The key for me at the moment is not to go around “shooting from the hip” and ensuring that whatever ideas I come up with receive some real buy in from our people.
