It’s coming up to three months since I completed my stint at Patisserie Valerie so it feels like the right time to take stock. I knew that my time with Patisserie Valerie was only going to last a year so I had plenty of time to plan my next move and I decided early on to and build up my contracting business, obviously I didn’t reckon on Covid 19 which has had an impact on my carefully laid plans, still many people have been affected way more than me so I am not complaining.
So what have I been doing? To start with, I am working towards professional diplomas in Leadership, Digital Marketing and Project Management and I am learning a huge amount.
Secondly, I have been building my professional network, via LinkedIn and by leveraging my existing contacts. This project is a bit of a slow burn but I’m hopeful that something will come of it.
I’m going to be doing some business development for an exciting concept which I will talk more about next week when I officially start with them.
My book on BHS is still progressing albeit more slowly.
I now have three part time roles which I have already spoken about recently.
Finally, I am helping a tech start up raise funds.
So I am busy, but I have more capacity!
