I’ve been a little under the weather hence the lack of updates. Alex came home with a blocked nose and passed it onto me over the weekend. I’ve been responsible and checked my symptoms with NHS 111 but as I don’t have a new continuous cough, an elevated temperature or a loss of taste/smell then I don’t qualify for a test which is probably fair enough. I’ve been working from home for most of the week apart from a socially distanced meeting in a well ventilated area where I wore a mask the whole time. I’m not ill as such, just have a blocked nose and painful sinuses with a slight chesty cough.
I treated myself to the latest versions of the Apple Watch which handily has a blood oxygen monitor so I’ve been checking my levels with that and they are fine.
This example shows the problems that many people are facing. The symptoms of Covid and a cold do overlap so I can imagine that lots of people find themselves in the same dilemma as me.
I’ve elected to get on with life (I’m looking at a couple of pubs today and working from home the rest of the week) and as a precaution I will avoid my family until the symptoms pass but given that I already feel slightly better I’m not going to panic too much – I wonder of this is the right approach?
