Helping A Start Up

I enjoy helping founders take their ideas to market. In one form or another I’ve done this three times and am currently working with a fourth business which is about to hit the high street.

There is something immensely satisfying when seeing a project that you have been a part of comes to life and it’s a good feeling to know that you have helped someone realise a dream.

Having said all this, it’s not easy. There are any number of pitfalls including a lack of working capital, not having the right people in place, having an idea that still requires work and then actually getting founders to listen to advice. This last point can sometimes be the most difficult to achieve whilst having the right amount of working capital buys you time to get the idea right and to bring in the right people who will really help get the idea off the ground. The real is challenge when you are dealing with a tech product which requires work to bring to market and which then requires live testing which has been the case with Saylalala. We have come a long way in a short time and we are close to having a fantastic tech platform which is working efficiently.

My focus today turns to another startup which is a brand I worked with a couple of years ago and who I am currently fund raising for. I need to finish off the financial aspect of the pack and make some final changes to the IM.

I am also spending time looking at properties as one of my other client is still searching for locations 4 and 5.

Finally, I am hoping to make further progress with my book
