Heading North

I’m going to visit my family today, it’s been over a year since we have last seen them so I am taking the opportunity to go for a walk with them out in the open and spend a few hours catching up. Unfortunately this involves a 6 hour round trip which won’t be fun but it’s unavoidable.

I’ve been following the COVID situation quite closely and it’s great to see the progress made with vaccines and with the level of testing that has help ensure that the return to school has not had an adverse effect on the roadmap to opening up the country again. The next big date will be 12th April and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that things don’t go backwards and that hospitality can open up fully on (or preferably before) the date in May. It’s been a tough year for everyone connected with hospitality, either directly or indirectly and I’m hopeful that once opened up we won’t need to revert to social distancing again.

Finally, on the work front, I have just signed a contract with a new client and sent off a proposal to another client. I’m pleased which where I am work wise as it’s been a long hard road from March last year to now.
