I spent a chunk of my time in Friday offering moral support to one of our multi unit managers as one of his store managers decided to walk out without giving any notice. The manager in question has worked for the company for four years a and has benefited from our management training scheme.
It’s our fault really, we pushed him to far and too fast and he couldn’t handle it. This isn’t a mistake which we are planning to repeat.
Having said that, the manager in question had given no hint that he was under presssure, he just walked away.
