I’ve been lucky enough to have picked up some work soon after leaving Vital and it’s been fantastic working on these various projects and I’m really enjoying myself in a way that I haven’t for a long time. I’ve made no secret of the fact that my last year at Vital was no bed of roses so going to work and enjoying what I do makes a welcome change.

Finally, someone asked me about Vital the other day, to be honest when I leave a business I tend not to look back, I cannot imagine visiting a Vital store anytime soon and haven’t really spoken to anyone at Vital, this isn’t bitterness as I always planned to leave post deal, it’s just that I have a hectic schedule plus the new owners need to crack on with whatever they have planned for the brand without the ghost of past MDs floating around!
It’s going to be a challenging time for the whole food to go sector and it’s going to be an interesting year but I am sure that Vital will really prosper under its new ownership and I wish them all the very best of luck in their endeavours.
