A few years ago I was running a salad brand and basically hoping for warm sunny weather. Fast forward to today and as I’m running a patisserie brand I’m constantly hoping for cool, cloudy weather or sunny with rain showers!
The fairly rubbish bank holiday weekend actually helped our sales although it didn’t do much for my wife’s sense of humour.
We have done a piece of work to classify our shops into different categories as we work to understand the sales patterns and how these stores behave when experiencing differing types of weather. This classification also helps us to rank stores within their category and to benchmark differing types of stores.
