I enjoy working with marketing teams and I have particularly enjoyed working with our digital team and learning more about how to effectively market a business across digital platforms. For me, marketing isn’t just about what posters go up in shop windows, it’s much more than that. An effective marketing team should in effect champion our customers, to almost be the customers voice across the business which is why I am a string believer in the NPD team reporting into marketing. I also feel strongly that internal (as well as external) communications should sit within a marketing team.
Not sure as to the provenance of today’s photo but I chose it as I love trains nearly as much as I love cars, although I am more of a fan of diesel as opposed to steam. I could wax lyrical about 1980’s diesel trains but I fortunately for everyone who reads this blog I won’t be doing that anytime soon!
