Memories of 7/7 part three

Thinking back what also struck me was the fact that people were trying to get out of London and there were no trains and no underground. People didn’t know what was happening or how they were going to get home that night. Hotels were getting booked up and there were rumors that the price of a hotel room had suddenly gone up.

Our shops were full of people who had nowhere else to go and we did our best to look after them. I was still walking from shop to shop, making sure everything was ok and doing my best to reassure people, not that I could do much as I didn’t have a clue as to what was happening
