I’m in the fortunate position of having a number of clients and a steady flow of work (although I am always looking to take on more work) with my activities dividing into two areas. The first is distressed businesses and helping clients reduce their cost base and find new ways of revenue generation (I’m going to avoid using the word “pivot”) which will hopefully put their business onto a sustainable footing. My next work stream is supporting owners/founders with their growth strategies. In this I am quite sector agnostic as I am helping an AI business, a last mile logistics provider, a recruiter and a QSR business. Whilst each of these businesses have some specific challenges a lot of the things they need help with a pretty similar and I am in the fortunate position of being able to draw upon my 30 odd years of experience in the industry to help them find solutions.
I was in London yesterday, meeting a new client who requires support in finding a new business whilst today I’m in Plymouth working on a teaser and pitch deck for a client who is looking to raise growth funds. Separately to this I will be meeting some potential investors who could potentially back our fledgling pub company.
